Seven Tips to Getting Traffic with Facebook Viral Marketing

Do you have a blog that need traffic? You can generate massive, rich/viral traffic from Facebook every day. By using Facebook effectively, you can easily start getting traffic virally if you know how to leverage this source off traffic. I use Facebook as one of my main traffic source. You too can. Here are Seven Tips to Getting Traffic with Facebook Viral Marketing.

1. Get More Friends

Friends are the most important aspect in social networking as they are needed to make money! The more friends you have, the more visibility your business will have, which ultimately leads to more sales for you. Caution: Don’t SPAM your friends. This is because it’s very easy to unfriend you. Also, Facebook might ban you from adding more friends.

You can add me as your friend on www.facebook.com/ome.umukoro

2. Get a Paid Blog

Obviously, blogs are a great way to spread the word about your business. You can incorporate your blog into your Facebook account and add RSS feeds for your readers to follow up on. You can also comment on other blogs linking back to your site. There are various applications on Facebook that you can use to link your blog to Facebook e.g. Facebook notes, NetworkedBlogs, RSS Graffiti etc

To get a paid blog if you don’t have any, read and do what is on http://naijabloghosting.com/

3. Use Your Picture Wherever You Can

Uploading your picture can get you a lot more views to your articles/comments than those without pictures. Spammers never take the time to upload a picture. Also, people like having a face with a name and it makes them trust you a lot more.

4. Have a Great Profile Page

If you are a big social net worker, you will have a pimped out profile page. Link all of your social network profiles and personal projects to gain maximum exposure. Promote your RSS feed from your blog on you profile page. Make it attractive with enough information to where it doesn’t look boring!

5. Use the Notes and Events Features

Sending notes and events are great ways at gaining more exposure in your business. If your friends like it they may even pass them on to their friends. It’s a win-win for everyone!

To import for blog to Facebook, read and do what is here: www.ogbongeblog.com/2011/01/import-blog-posts-to-facebook-notes-for.html

6. Create Good Content

Content is king. If you are a good writer in a popular niche then you will have no problem succeeding in social networking sites like Facebook. People like great content and they will take the time to read it if it peeks their interests. Try to write articles that include lists, like “Top 10…” or “7 Reasons Why…”

7. Give Away Free Stuff

Everyone loves free stuff and your social networking friends will really love you for it! Give them a free ebook, or maybe an article you found online. It doesn’t have to be big. Anything that is helpful and related to your niche will be greatly appreciated by your friends.

These are just 7 of the many ways that you can capitalize on the social networking craze. There are many more ways to get viral traffic through Facebook. I would appreciate if you can become my fan at www.facebook.com/ome.umukoro if you are not

How to make Facebook as a https secured login

Facebook is now very easy for hackers to hack now...well there is a way you can secure your account from hackers

Security is the major issue in case of social networking sites. Every one has to take care regarding their login, passwords, what they share, pictures in the social networking sites especially in case of facebook which is the world famous site after www.google.com. We know facebook founder "Mark Zukerberg" account was hacked in last January 2011.

Facebook has an option to enable HTTPS access. It asks users to use their HTTPS login for better security but most of us wont use that at all. If you haven’t enabled HTTPS login by this time, I recommend you to enable HTTPS for better security in "facebook" Now.

How it Works

Login to your facebook click Account in right side top corner

Click Account Settings and a page will open where you can find Account Security as shown in the below figure.

Under Secure Browsing Click the check box as shown in the above figure and from next time onwards you will be under secured HTTPS...

I hope this was helpful

Cheers

How to Check all pages liked on facebook

Some time ago I was asked by a Facebook user on how they could view all the pages they’d hit for the “Like” button on Facebook.

Sometimes you hit “Like” on a product or service, only to become increasingly annoyed with spam-like over frequent updates – in which case you “un-like” it!

At first glance, it’s not simple to work out how to see a history of your “Likes”.

How it works
  1. Once logged into Facebook via a web-browser, click your "name which will automatically take your profile" button in the top right hand corner.
  2. Next, click the “Info” button on the left.
  3. Finally, scroll down the page to “Activities and Interests” and click the “Show other pages” link to reveal a list of all the items you’ve clicked “Like” on in the past.

From here you can then visit pages you no longer wish to “like”, scroll down the left hand side and hit the “Unlike” button.

How this was helpful

How To Make Money With Facebook | Delgeek Blog Lab

HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH FACEBOOK
Step #1
Once you have signed up to Facebook your first step should be to think about how you want to present yourself. You don’t want to fake it, just be yourself and showcase your skill, your hobby or knowledge – that is what makes money from Facebook.

Don’t forget that you want to attract the attention of a specific group of people here, so that you become known as someone who is something of an expert on one particular subject. So choose wisely!

Step #2
Go for a popular niche that you personally like and have an interest in. Develop your persona in that area. If you already have something of a web presence in a particular area then you’ll use that in your advantage because — it will help you as more and more people become aware of who you, your skill/knowledge and how this can help them.

Step #3
Your first port of call, if you have anything second hand to sell which is related to your niche, is the Marketplace. It’s free to place ads in the Marketplace and there is no limit on how many you can place.

EXAMPLE: you come across a bargain lot of books on your subject on eBay or at a yard sale you can list them all individually on Facebook and sell them on for a profit.

If you have a budget to spend on advertising and you have some external websites you want to promote, you can try out the Social Ads to see what benefits you get from them. It is well worth reading through the relevant help section to see what is involved though, as it is quite in depth.

FACEBOOK BEST ADVANTAGE:
The main benefit of becoming a Facebook member is that you can build and use any number of applications to perform certain tasks on your profile page.

The GREAT NEWS is that Facebook doesn’t frown at users making money from their Facebook page, and indeed many people link in to other websites outside of Facebook itself.

People are constantly building new applications and often they are used by many other users to create pages that appeal to their own particular needs.

This is partly why you will succeed in making more money from Facebook if you brand yourself carefully before you get started on the site.

BRANDING YOURSELF?
Figure out what it is you want to do and what you want to achieve. If you already have a website up and running then you will be able to link into that, so keep the look and feel of your Facebook page in the same vein as your site.

But while you can link to other sites outside of Facebook, some people also sprinkle some affiliate links on their actual Facebook page itself. For example, some quick research revealed one person who links into a range of ClickBank products on their page and does well from doing so.

So long as you start from a strong position with a particular focus and brand in mind, you can do well by experimenting with all the benefits that Facebook offers (and they’re growing).

Take time to build up a network of friends and make sure you become known for being an expert in your particular sphere of interest/niche.

Exposure is what you should aim for. The more people you make friends with and add to your network, the more money you should be generating. However, don’t make the mistake to go after “friends” for money.

Put people first, money will follow. It’s like in the real life, just a different medium, the same communication skills and principles apply though.

Facebook Introduces Video Chat via Skype | Delgeek Blog

Facebook introduces video Chat service to its users on Wednesday, 6 July 2011. Now you can video chat with your friends, this feature has been introduced via Skype integration in Facebook and this service will give more tough competition to Google plus social networking site.
Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg said -

“Users will be able to click a button in Facebook to call a friend. If the friend does not already have the
plugin required for video chat, the friend will see a pop-up to download the plugin. That download should just take 10 or 20 seconds. This is possible because the social infrastructure exists. The system knows we’re connected and we have the pipe open between us so new applications can flow between us. We want to leave all the applications to independent entrepreneurs and companies that are going to be best in class at building these things. That’s a different strategy than other major Internet companies out there who try to do everything themselves.”

Zuckerberg described Facebook as a platform that allows these kinds of new applications to be easily used. He also sought to set Facebook apart from competitors because Facebook plans to partner with companies like Skype (which have already been granted) that are focused on specific technologies. He also said that Facebook now has more than 750 million users, up from 500 million.

Facebook Video Call: How to Run Facebook Free Video Call | Delgeek Blog

How do I set up video calling?
Before you can call your friends, you need to complete a quick, one-time setup:
  • You will be asked to complete the setup the first time you try to call a friend, or the first time a friend tries to call you.

  • To call a friend, click the video icon at the top of your chat window. Simply click the “Set Up” button and follow the instructions for how to set up video calling on your browser.

  • Once you’ve successfully completed the setup, the call you’ve started with your friend should connect automatically. If it doesn’t, you can call again by clicking the video icon at the top of your chat window.

Video calling: Basics
Video calling allows you to talk to your friends face to face. All you need to do is complete a quick, one-time setup, and you’re ready to call any friend on Facebook. If your friend isn’t available, you can always leave a video message.

How it works: If you and your friend both have webcams and microphones set up, you will be able to see and hear each other in real time. If you call friends who don’t have webcams, they’ll be able to see and hear you but you’ll only be able to hear them.

Call records: The time and date of each call you make is listed in your ongoing message history with each friend. The calls themselves are not recorded or saved.

Multi-tasking: You can continue using chat and other Facebook features during your video call.

Which browser should I use to set up video calling?
Video calling works best with the latest versions of the following browsers:

Mozilla Firefox

Google Chrome

Internet Explorer

Safari

Note that video calling for Linux is not currently supported. You will need to use one of these browsers in a Mac or Windows operating system. If you’re having trouble with video calling, try upgrading or switching your browser using the links above.

How do I start a video call with a friend?
After you complete the quick, one-time setup, you’re ready to make your first call:
  • Visit your friend’s profile and click the “Call” button in the top right corner. If you and your friend are already chatting, you can also click the video icon at the top of your chat window.

  • When your friend answers, you may have to wait a moment for your call to connect before the video call begins. If your friend hasn’t set up video calling yet, you’ll be asked to wait until the setup is complete.

  • If your friend is unavailable, you can leave a video message. The time and date of your missed call will be listed in your ongoing message history with your friend.

Having trouble? Make sure your webcam and microphone are both up and running, then try again.

How do I know if a friend is available to take my call?
You can see if a friend is available by entering their name at the bottom of the chat list on the right side of the page. Friends that appear online in chat are also available for video calls. A green dot next to a friend’s name means they’re online and a moon icon means they're online but inactive.

How do I end a video call?
To end a video call, just close the video window.

Will there be a record of my calls?
The date of each call you make and receive appears within your ongoing conversation history in Facebook Messages. The calls themselves are not recorded or saved.
